Inline Welder

Integration system for laser welding
The Inline Welder from Hymson Novolas is a laser welding system for integration into industrial production lines. In the laser-safe processing cell, 2D contours can be welded with the Scanner Optic from Hymson Novolas on a working area of max. 250×250 mm. The integrated clamping technology ensures the correct contact of the components to be welded. The control cabinet is divided into two parts to minimize the space required in the work area. The modular, interchangeable Laser Unit and the Scanner Unit can be positioned decentrally in a 19-inch rack.

The Inline Welder is designed for mounting on a rotary indexing table or in a production line with conveyor belt. The control for the individual components and the compressed air supply to the pneumatic clamping device are located in the flange-mounted control cabinet. Sensors in the clamping device and in the optics enable the monitoring and evaluation of various process parameters during welding. Workpieces that are in the processing cell at the same time can be evaluated separately. The 22-inch touchscreen in combination with the ML-HMI (mHuman Machine Interface of the ML-product range) simplifies the operation of the laser welding system. Various interfaces enable the Inline Welder to communicate with the higher-level system. The Hymson Novolas communication standard can be customized.

NOVOLAS TTS

Efficient table top laser welding device
The compact NOVOLAS™ TTS laser welding device contains all the components necessary for the laser welding of plastics. The laser unit and the processing cell can be set up separately and can thus be used in production with optimum space utilization. Despite the small processing cell, the welding surface measures 100 x 100 mm (3.94 x 3.94 in). The table welding device (table top system) is characterized by its functionality in small spaces while allowing for easy programming in a cost-effective system.

The NOVOLAS™ TTS is controlled via a mini PLC (programmable logic controller) and programmed with an HMI (human machine interface) software developed by Leister. The HMI transfers the process-relevant data into the system where it can then be stored with reference to a particular project. The welding contour can be programmed individually in the CNC code, while other parameters such as laser output and speed can easily be specified. Once implemented, the system functions autonomously. Input components such as keyboard and monitor can be removed from the system for production purposes. External intervention via a remote desktop is also possible if desired.

BASIC M

Modular laser welding system
The BASIC M laser welding system from Hymson Novolas is based on a modular block building system. The BASIC M system is used for laser welding of plastics and was developed for integration into industrial production plants. The BASIC M and BASIC L concept includes numerous functional units for plastic welding. The Main Unit together with the laser and the process optics represents the fundamental configuration of this concept. The Main Unit includes the IPC, safety and quality control.

The laser welding system BASIC L additionally incorporates the laser safety (for instance, a laser-safe housing) and thus differs from the laser welding system BASIC M. The configuration of the laser welding system determines the level of integration and thus the responsibility for the welding process. In the fundamental configuration, Hymson Novolas is solely responsible for the laser and the process optics. If necessary, Hymson Novolas can integrate additional units, such as the motion system, the clamping technology or quality control, in order to complement the laser process. In this way, Hymson Novolas also has process responsibility for these sub-processes. The superordinate software controls all units, regardless of the configuration of the welding system. The software handles the entire process, both for the production of one type of workpiece and the chaotic production of different workpieces. Hymson Novolas also provides a large number of sensors that are used for quality assurance or to control the process flow. Due to the variety of different options, different laser welding concepts can be implemented. They are tailored to individual customer needs. In addition, the welding process can be perfectly adapted to specific workpieces. Communication with the customer system is carried out via various interfaces: OPC UA, MES, Profibus, etc.). Hymson Novolas specialists support customers throughout the entire project – from planning through implementation of the welding process to integration of the system. For detailed clarifications, interested parties contact their responsibleHymson Novolas branch, their sales partner or use the contact form. In order to meet the specific requirements of customers worldwide, Hymson Novolas offers the laser welding system in different versions: BASIC S, BASIC M and BASIC L. The laser welding systems mentioned vary in their functional range: S-Small, M-Medium, L-Large.
